We sell books where two or more idiots fall in love.

Every trope, subgenre, and spice level you can imagine. From sweet to spicy, contemporary to historical, LGBTQ+ to dark romance, you'll find it all here..

Yes! We love supporting indie voices. If you're an author interested in working with us, please reach out through our author FAQ page.

Of course! Just note that while we have some closed-door and YA romance, many books here are adult-only and spicy. Browse accordingly, and please keep an eye on little ones. We ask that kids not pull books off the shelves. Thanks for helping us keep things tidy!

Return & Exchange Policy

All sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations.

Preorders: All preorder sales are final. Preorders cannot be canceled or returned once placed.

Damaged Items: If your package arrives damaged, please email carolyn@moncoeurbooks.com with clear photos of the damage and your order number within 7 days of receiving your package. All damage claims will be reviewed to determine eligibility. If approved, we will replace the item if it is available, or issue a refund if it is not.

Store Policy: Browsing & Seating

We love when customers take their time, flip through a few pages, read a chapter to see if a book's right for you; that's what browsing is for. Once you've purchased something, feel free to grab a seat and read for a bit too.

What we ask you not to do: treat the store like a lounge. Please don't camp out on the furniture for extended periods (especially with your phone) without browsing or buying. Our seating is meant to support the shopping experience, not replace a coffee shop or waiting room.

If we see someone parked in one spot for a long stretch without engaging with the store, we may kindly ask you to wrap up or make a purchase.

No, currently we are not adding to our staff at the moment, but when we are, we will post about it on social media.
